SPREE= South Platte River Environmental Education

Looking for something for your kids to do when school is off but work isn't?
​Have them join SPREE as we learn all the ways humans interact, experience, and work on the River! The South Platte River flows through the heart of Denver; it has provided many goods and services to the city since early in its history.

SPREE offers school holiday camps for students Kindergarten (must be at least 6)-5th grade at SPREE Headquarters from 8AM to 6PM. The daily schedule will be as follows:

What to Bring: Be sure to pack your camper with a water bottle and a full lunch + 2 snacks. Pack sunscreen, water shoes, and any clothing that they need to spend a majority of the day outside.

Ages 3-8 yrs, free
Get into the holiday spirit with pinecone ornaments! Decorate a pinecone as we learn all about them; see different kinds of pinecones, and what they can do through some hands-on experiments. Take home your pinecone ornament to hang around your home or hang it in a tree in your yard. Bring your own after school snack!
