This two-day sale starts and ends 8am to 5 pm on both Friday and Saturday, May 10-11, 2013. Celebrate the gardening season at the Spring Plant Sale! Purchase from more than ten plant divisions (specialized collections of plants) and get expert advice--the sale is the best way to start your gardening season.

What to Bring: Shoppers are encouraged to bring their own wagons, carts, wheelbarrows, or even recycled boxes.

What to Bring: National Get Outdoors Day is in the beginning of the summer so come prepared for a day-long event outside in the Colorado sun by brining sunscreen, water, food, and appropriate layered clothing and tennis shoes. Food Trucks and Water will be on site as well as facilities.

Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield is a working farm located along the banks of Deer Creek in southern Jefferson County. Bring your binoculars and wander the many trails and see numerous wildflower gardens. The area is known for exceptional bird watching. The Deer Creek Discovery children’s play area allows families to experience Nature through play. Other facilities include the Earl J. Sinnamon Visitor Center, the historic Hildebrand Ranch, a restored 1918 dairy barn and silo, and the 1874 Deer Creek Schoolhouse.

What to Bring: ADMISSION Members of Denver Botanic Gardens: free Non-members: $5 per passenger vehicle. Cash or check only. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. No pets please. ACCESSIBILITY Portions of the nature trails are wheelchair accessible

Firescaping for Colorado Homes
January 19 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

2012 was a year that saw dramatic and devastating Western fires sweep across the landscape, and tragically, some of them reached homes. We’re opening 2013 with an interdisciplinary symposium that addresses western landscapes, homes and the real-world lessons from recent history. Experts from different fields of study will show you that anyone’s landscape can be attractive, low maintenance and fire resistant if you design your landscape to defend your home.

What to Bring: Bring a notebook if you'd like to take notes. Lunch is not included: bring your own or purchase lunch at Offshoots.
