Event Description:
We will explore the park and learn to observe nature through art as we draw what we see. Perfect for those interested in creating their own nature or birding journal or for those who want to connect with nature and art. A simple materials list will be emailed to registered participants. All ability levels are welcome. Instructed by Carson Nature Center artist, Carol Peterson. You'll never look at nature the same way.
What to Bring: A sketchbook journal will be provided along with graphite and colored pencils for your use during the class. If you prefer, please feel free to bring your own art materials. A backpack or carrying method for materials, along with a space blanket or cushion to sit in various locations along the South Platte River. Water and a snack, sunscreen and hat are recommended. Fun additions: magnifying glass, binoculars and camera
