Event Description:

Bats and Other Creatures of the Dark
Tuesday May 7, 6-8 PM

Join us to uncover the mysteries, intrigue, and fear surrounding the fascinating world of bats! This exciting photographic adventure will be led by local Ronal Kerbo, former cave resource specialist for the U.S. National Park Service and “father” of the National Cave and Karst Research Institute. You’ll find out what Kerbo learned about these mammals and other “creatures of the dark” during his 15 year tenure working with researchers as the cave resource specialist for Carlsbad Caverns. Participants will uncover where bats, insects, and other micro-organisms live, what they eat, and how they survive in various environments, including Colorado. Come wander with us through their worlds of darkness and wonder!

Class will meet at The Inn at Hudson Gardens.

Registration: $21/member, $24/nonmember. Call the Education Department at (303) 797-8565 ext. 306 or visit shop.hudsongardens.org to register.
