Event Description:

Venture out in search of wildlife with a Backcountry staff member. We'll actively look for wildlife and try to provide photo opportunities. Learn more about what animals call the Backcountry home.

The bluebirds are back! Come take an easy hike with us as we peek inside bluebird boxes. Learn some fun facts about these local beauties and other birds that call the Backcountry Wilderness Area home.

What to Bring: Closed toe shoes are required. Hikes are subject to weather.

Location

Location Details: Location varies between: From University Blvd, turn south on Wildcat Preserve Pkwy. Turn east on McArthur Ranch Rd then south on Grigs Road. Once the road becomes dirt, continue up the hill and pull into the parking area for the DC Trailhead. OR 11950 S. Monarch Blvd., Highlands Ranch, CO Travel south on Quebec as it becomes Monarch Blvd. Turn east into the parking lot for the D.C. Trailhead and Horseback Riding Area.
