Event Description:

Families, children and individuals of all ages are invited to join a Colorado Parks & Wildlife Naturalist for a campfire talk and activity about nocturnal animals. We will discuss some of the nocturnal animals that live in the Boyd Lake area including bats, owls, badgers, coyotes, mink, raccoons and more. After the talk, we will have the opportunity to dissect owl pellets to see what owls at Boyd Lake State Park consume, followed by a short nature walk to hear what creatures come awake at night! We will meet at the campfire ring near the A/B Building in the Cottonwood Campground. Bring closed toed shoes for the nature walk, camp chairs, blankets, and water, marshmallows will be provided.
