Event Description:

Join Friends of the Peak to improve the Elk Park Knoll Trail. Elk Park Knoll Trail has some erosion problems and a narrow spot. Volunteers will work to widen the narrow spot and improve drainage to reduce erosion. The group will carpool up the Pikes Peak Highway to the trailhead. The hike in to the narrow area to widen is about 1/2 mile. Work will end at 3:30, and volunteers should be back to their cars around 4:30.
Free to participate; no experience necessary, minimum age 13 with a parent, 16 without.

What to Bring: Bring water, lunch, snacks, work gloves, sunscreen, sturdy footwear, raingear, clothing layers, and anything else you would commonly bring on a hike.
