April 11 and 14 – Field Guide, Field Day Parts 1&2: Exploring and Recording

A two day experience in the shoes of naturalists on a mission! On the first day kids will explore, record, and research the organisms of our expansive forest and riversides, becoming experts on specific animals and plants. Our young experts will hear from studied naturalists on how they developed their passions, and broaden their knowledge. The junior naturalists will come together with their notes and pictures to compile an entire guidebook of the ELC, which they will each receive a copy of by the second day. While hunting the animals for observation, they might stumble on a few surprises stomping through our woods!
(*programming will be different each day)
