Event Description:

Growing Superior Shrub Roses
Thursday, June 27, 6 – 8 PM

Shrub roses are not only beautiful choices for borders and hedges, but are also hardy and fragrant additions to many types of landscapes. Joan Franson, original designer of The Hudson Gardens’ Rose Garden and former President of the Denver Rose Society, will assist you in discovering the many forms, growing habits, blossoms and leaf shapes that shrub roses have to offer. You’ll identify the various varieties that grow best in Colorado and will come away with tips on how you can use shrub roses to make a striking statement in your own garden.

Class will be held at The Inn at Hudson Gardens.

Registration: $24/member, $27/nonmember. Call the Education Department at (303) 797-8565 ext. 306 or visit shop.hudsongardens.org to register.
