Herbs Throughout the Ages: Uses, Legends, and Folklore
Tuesday, September 17, 6 – 8 PM

Herbs have played a rich role in people's lives throughout the ages, appearing in the Bible and even in Shakespeare’s plays. Join Donna Shelley, long-time member of the Herb Society of America, as she guides you through the history of herbs, their varied uses, and the many legends that surround them. You’ll also get to delve into the mythical side of herbal folklore, learning how herbs have been associated with warding off ills, finding husbands, and predicting the weather! This course will conclude with a discussion of the importance and usage of modern herbs.

Class will meet at The Inn at Hudson Gardens.
