Event Description:

Join the Breckenridge Recreation Department as we journey through time to discover why people are drawn to this high alpine haven in the Colorado Rockies. We will start our adventures by exploring the earliest days where Native Americans and great buffalo herds filled the valley. Our explorations will continue with an introduction to the fur trappers and traders. The next stop will be a firsthand experience with our rich mining heritage. Finally, we will have a chance to express what we love about the mountains, and what draws us to them today. Days will include game-based activities and interactive hiking destinations throughout our environment and its wild places. Campers will meet at the Climbing Wall at 7:55am. No camp on Wednesday, June 19th. Open to Ages 7-12.

What to Bring: Be sure to bring a rain jacket, sunglasses, sunscreen, snacks, water, hiking shoes/boots, and a camera!
