Event Description:

Turn left in 500 ft, in 200 ft make right turn, arrive at destination: Introduction to GPS units, Navigation and Geocaching.

Are you interested in using a GPS to navigate the great outdoors or finding hidden caches in the international treasure hunting game of Geocaching? Join us and discover the ins and outs of GPS units, and navigation. We’ll begin at the museum, with a classroom session, where we will learn how to use a GPS unit, what it can do for you, how to navigate and talk about exciting treasure hunting that is Geocaching. We will then head off-site to the nearby Schweiger Ranch, just south of the museum, to practice our navigation skills in an ultimate treasure hunt! All registered participants will walk away with their very own, collectible, traceable, Geocoin.
