Event Description:

Get your kids out in nature with this naturalist-guided program for ages 6-15. We will learn about bird anatomy and what characteristics define raptors from all other birds. We will incorporate bird watching techniques supplemented with birding field guides and binoculars while going out into the field looking for raptors that inhabit Boyd Lake. After exploring we will create pinecone bird feeders so that participants can take home and see what birds they might find in their own backyard. Please bring water, a snack, and an adult to accompany you.
