Event Description:

Get your kids out in nature with this naturalist-guided program for ages 6-15. We will learn about bird anatomy and bird watching techniques. Following the educational forum we will explore the unpaved nature trail looking for birds. With use of binoculars and field guides we will determine what birds inhabit Boyd Lake State Park. After exploring we will create pinecone bird feeders so that participants can take home and see what birds they might find in their own backyard. Please bring water, a snack, and an adult to accompany you.
