Event Description:

Discover the Native American crafts of (porcupine) quilling and beading that are used to make unique, beautiful decorations. Learn from Sicangu Lakota storyteller, dancer, historical interpreter and artesian Jessica Bordeaux-Vigil as she presents a workshop about her culture where she will demonstrate traditional quillwork and beadwork. As part of the workshop, you will make a single thread necklace to take home.
Ms. Bordeaux- Vigil, “White buffalo Woman” has performed at numerous festivals and events throughout Colorado and at the Gene Autry Museum in Los Angeles where she serves as a consultant for their Native American exhibition.
Bring a sack lunch. Appropriate for ages 6 to adult. (Children must be accompanied with a participating adult.)
