Event Description:

Let’s Get Batty!
Friday, September 6, 2013, 7-9 PM

Join us for a fun-filled family friendly evening all about bats! We will start the evening off with a short hike to some of the best spots to see bats at Hudson Gardens. You will learn all about what kind of habitats bats like best, what they need to survive, and why bats are so important to the environment. We’ll also have a chance to use special acoustic devices to discover how bats find their way in the dark as they fly above us. We’ll finish the night by having an opportunity to see Colorado bat specimens up close and perhaps even catch and release a live bat!

Program will meet in front of the Gift Shop and will be held outdoors. Please wear comfortable close-toed walking shoes, long pants, and bring a head lamp or flashlight.

Ages 5 years old and up.

Registration: $6/nonmember, $5/member (ages 5-adult). Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Call the Education Department at (303) 797-8565 ext. 306 or visit shop.hudsongardens.org to register.
