Event Description:

Nature Discovery Day: Changing Seasons
Saturday, October 19th, 10 AM – 12 PM

The seasons are changing! Join us as we explore Hudson Gardens to find signs of plants and animals that are getting ready for the winter. We will learn all about why some leaves turn colors and drop in the fall, why frogs don’t freeze in the ponds during the winter, and why some birds seem to have no problem in a frosty environment! Each kid will create and take home their own wreath made from the colorful leaves we find along our hike!

Program will meet in the Welcome Garden and will be held outdoors, rain or shine. Please dress and prepare accordingly.

Registration: $5/child, ages 5-10. Each child must be accompanied by a guardian, which is included in the program fee. Additional adults $1.50/each. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Call the Education Department at (303) 797-8565 ext. 306 or visit shop.hudsongardens.org to register.
