Event Description:

Nature Discovery Day: Insect Investigation
Saturday, June 29th, 10 AM – 12 PM

Shake a tree, turn over a leaf, look under a rock, and gaze up into the sky – insects are everywhere! During this program we will get a close look at some of the tiniest animal residents of Hudson Gardens! We will learn fascinating facts about insects, including how they see, how they can help and hurt plants, and which insects ‘taste’ with their feet. We’ll also make bug habitats and each kid will have a chance to observe insects up close before releasing them back to their garden homes.

Program will meet in the Welcome Garden and will be held outdoors, rain or shine. Please dress and prepare accordingly.

Registration: $5/child, ages 5-10. Each child must be accompanied by a guardian, which is included in the program fee. Additional adults $1.50/each. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Call the Education Department at (303) 797-8565 ext. 306 or visit shop.hudsongardens.org to register.
