Event Description:

Interested in taking beautiful images of Colorado’s night skies but not sure where to start? Join naturalist and astro-photographer Zach for an evening of photography under the stars at Devil’s Backbone Open Space. You’ll learn techniques and tips for photographing constellations, the Milky Way, night landscapes, star trails and more.

Approximately 3-hour program. Program is free, but registration is required. Please go to larimer.org/NRregistration to sign up.

What to Bring: In order to actively participate in the workshop, a DSLR camera is required. Bring your fastest wide-angle lens and a tripod. A limited number of tripods will be available to borrow for the workshop. The program will involve walking portions of the trails at Devil’s Backbone, so please dress for the weather, wear appropriate footwear and bring water.
