Event Description:

Introduce your toddler to nature with short talks and trail walks. Come enjoy a 45 minute nature activity with your toddler every second Thursday of each month. Each program offers different topics that are appropriate for your young one.

Ages 3-5, Children must be accompanied by an adult. Limited to 10 spaces.

Jiminy Crickets (September 10th 10-10:45AM)
Tots will find out why these six-legged animals sing! Come explore the park by sweeping the fields with nets to find crickets and other insects. We’ll also complete some arts and crafts.

Leafy Creatures (October 8th 10-10:45AM)
Fall is the season to explore color and change. Together we will find the answers to the following questions: Why do leaves turn colors? Why do trees lose their leaves? Tots will create a critter made out of leaves and listen to a story while creating their own colors (Story: Monsters love colors by Mike Austin)!

B is for Birds (November 12th 10:00-10:45AM)
Come find our flying friends in the park! Spend the morning with us and our feathered friends as we use our OWL eyes on a short birding hike, play a bird feeding game, and find out which birds are special to us!

What to Bring: Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather.

Location Details: Meeting location is at the nature center which is located inside the park off of the 100th Ave and Simms St. main park entrance.
