Event Description:

Join naturalist David Neils on a guided hike through Sulzer Gulch at Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch, located west of Loveland off of Hwy 34. You’ll learn about the predators that use the gulch, including mountain lions, bobcats, coyotes, black bear, and fox. David will share what he does to capture photos and videos of these predators while sharing fun and interesting information like the connection between grasshoppers and mountain lions.

Approximately 3 hour program. Hike rating: Moderate. The path through Sulzer Gulch is rocky and un-maintained.

What to Bring: All participants should wear appropriate footwear, dress appropriately for the weather (including long pants to guard against poison ivy), and bring plenty of water for the trail.
