Event Description:

At least 8,000 years ago, Native Americans “mined” valuable quartzite from Windy Ridge on Rabbit Ears Pass. Join a US Forest Service Archaeologist as they walk us through time to learn about this unique site. This program is offered in partnership with the US Forest Service, and the Tread of Pioneers Museum. Meet at the US Forest Service Building (925 Weiss Drive) at 8am. Registration is required and is now FREE
