Event Description:

A to Z Vegetable Gardening
Saturday, May 31, 2014, 10 AM – 12 PM

Very few things in life are more satisfying than growing your own food. A backyard vegetable garden can help you eat healthier, save on grocery bills, and even bring a family closer. Join Shari Leigh, Colorado Master Gardener, as she shares her lifelong love and knowledge of vegetable gardening. This class will prepare you to begin growing vegetables at home or help you improve an existing bed by giving you the keys to vegetable gardening from A to Z – topics such as site and plant selection, bed preparation, irrigation, pest control, and harvesting will all be covered. This session will include ample time for questions and is designed for beginner and lightly experienced gardeners.

Class will meet at The Inn at Hudson Gardens.

Registration: $21/member, $24/nonmember. Space is limited and advance registration is required. Call the Education Department at (303) 797-8565 ext. 306 or visit shop.hudsongardens.org to register.
