Join us at Memorial Park/Prospect Lake for this FREE event for kids and adults alike! Experience a variety of outdoor activities such as biking, kayaking, paddling SUP boards, fly fishing, spin fishing, slack lining, mapping, shooting and more! A variety of outdoor businesses and nonprofit agencies will have activities on display for the public to try.

Not into fly fishing? Try spin casting. Maybe you can’t mountain bike. Try a new pedal-assisted electric bike. Maybe you want to learn about mapping. Or perhaps bird watching is more your style.

Mark Foley of First Cast Fly Fishing will present “Do It Yourself Fly Fishing in Argentina” at the Rocky Mountain Flycasters season opening general meeting Wednesday September 18. It is free and open to the public.

Foley is a Trout Unlimited life member and certified casting instructor. A former lodge manager in Argentina, he once spent a year hiking and fishing the Andes mountains from Tierra del Fuego to the Bolivian rainforest. www.firstcastflyfishing.com

Event Description:

Spend a cozy evening by the campfire, complete with stories and s’mores! These programs are suitable for all ages. Dress warmly and bring water to drink. This program includes a hike on an unpaved trail to the cabin. Meet your naturalist guide at the cabin and enjoy a campfire and stories on the deck. Please allow 30-40 minutes to reach the cabin.
