Cal-Wood is a non-profit (501(c)3), environmental education center located in the  Rocky Mountain foothills northwest of Jamestown, Colorado.  Our 1,200-acre mountain property, with majestic views of Indian Peaks and Rocky Mountain National Park, was donated Roger and Oral Calvert in the late 1970s. They envisioned their beloved land being used to connect children and adults to the Colorado land and ecology.

Today, Cal-Wood hosts science-based environmental education programs for regional schools and residential summer camps for children ages of 8 to 18.  Our energetic staff leads visiting groups in engaging hands-on outdoor adventures, educational explorations, and teambuilding activities.

Visit our website for a full list of Cal-Wood summer camps and detailed information about our school programs and retreat options.
