Saturday, September 22, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. we are partnering up with Founders and Friends of Two Ponds National Wildlife Refuge and the City of Westminster Standley Lake Nature Center to help celebrate all the different birds that migrate through Colorado. From pelicans to hummingbirds, come and discover what birds you could see in your backyard and when they’ll be flying through.

Fossil Creek Reservoir Natural Area, meet at the parking lot.
Are birds picky eaters? Learn about how and what different birds eat. Bring your little ones (ages 4-7 years) to learn about nature through stories, activities, nature walks and hands-on projects. Rotate through four different stations; each repeats every half hour. Parents/guardians must be present at all times. Siblings are welcome but activities will be geared towards the stated age group. Explore a closed-off portion of Soapstone Prairie Natural Area. Discover the bird species that make these spots home. Participants will ride in a van and must stay for the entire program.
