Each month volunteers from the Northern Colorado Astronomical Society provide telescopes for your viewing pleasure and share their knowledge about stars, planets, galaxies, and more. In September 2013, historic floods destroyed vegetation, wildlife habitat, and landscapes along the Little Thompson River in Weld County. Volunteers ages 12 and up are invited to help restore this flood-damaged land through riverside planting, which will improve water quality, make the area aesthetically pleasing, and encourage animal life to return.
