Astronomy Exploration; Perseid Meteor Shower

The Perseids are a prolific meteor shower associated with the comet, Swift-Tuttle. Their name comes from the constellation from which they appear to originate. The Perseid meteor shower is visible between August 9th and 14th, and at peak times 60 or more meteors may be visible! Meet at the Dumont Lake Picnic Area Parking Lot on Rabbit Ears Pass. Registration is required, this is a FREE program
