Honey Harvest & Products of the Hive

Learn all of the “ins” and “outs” of moving honey from the hive to the honey jar. This course will explore the various honeycomb setups and the common techniques and tools used for extracting, bottling, and storing honey. Bee Guardian Bob Shiflet leads this how-to session, which will include information on extracting and using other products of the hive such as wax, pollen, and propolis. The session will conclude with a refresher on closing out the beekeeping season and preparing hives for winter.
