Bold Betties Outfitters received the People’s Choice Award at Boulder Beta on May 11 in Boulder, Colo. A headline event that kicked off the 2015 Boulder Startup Week, Boulder Beta gave select local startups an opportunity to present their companies to nearly 600 community members, including entrepreneurs, investors, students, developers and designers. Of the ten companies that participated in Boulder Beta, Bold Betties was the only female-founded company. The other participants were Vinyl Me, Please, Congo.io, Weave, Stryd, Benchmark Intelligence, NuBru Coffee, Ambient Box, Hemera and Fruitera. “We had an absolute blast being a part of Boulder Beta,” said Niki Koubourlis, CEO and Founder of Bold Betties Outfitters. “The event allowed us to meet a lot of great new people and share our passion for what we do. We are very honored to have been selected as the People’s Choice among the other amazing companies that were present.” A Denver-based startup, Bold Betties Outfitters announced the Beta launch of www.boldbettiesoutfitters.com, an e-commerce site where women can buy or rent the latest apparel and gear for adventure travel and outdoor activities, in August 2014. Bold Betties also features a community of women who come together to try new outdoor activities. Boulder Startup Week is a five day celebration of the local startup community, bringing entrepreneurs and other community members together for a series of events.
