Event Description:

Families, children and individuals of all ages are invited to join a Colorado Parks & Wildlife Naturalist for a campfire talk and activity about nocturnal animals. We will discuss some of the nocturnal animals that live in the Boyd Lake and what adaptations that allow them to thrive in the darkness. After the talk, we will have the opportunity to dissect owl pellets to see what owls at Boyd Lake State Park consume, followed by a short nature walk to hear what creatures come awake at night!

What to Bring: Bring closed toed shoes for the nature walk, camp chairs, blankets, and water, marshmallows will be provided.
