Event Description:

What’s Bugging Your Rose Garden?
Thursday, July 18, 6 – 8 PM

We enjoy roses for their fragrance, beauty, and long bloom season. But what happens if they come down with a case of powdery mildew or an insect that likes to munch on their foliage or buds? Peggy Williams, American Rose Society Consulting Rosarian, will teach you how to identify these garden pests and diseases and suggest various methods to combat their invasion of your rose beds. You’ll also learn how to start your roses off healthy by selecting disease-resistant rose varieties and practicing optimal growing techniques. Organic rose management methods will be emphasized.

Class will meet at The Inn at Hudson Gardens.

Registration: $24/member, $27/nonmember. Call the Education Department at (303) 797-8565 ext. 306 or visit shop.hudsongardens.org to register.
